Care for your Whisky Tumblers
We all know whisky is matured in the wood so why not drink it from the wood! Back in the days before the mass production of glass and pottery most drinking and eating utensils were made from wood. Prior to your very first dram it is recommended to prime your tumbler with a dash of malt whisky for 10 minutes or so, to allow the whisky to permeate into the grain of the wood. Thereafter your handcrafted tumbler will retain the notes of whisky just like the casks they were made in - slainte! To care for your tumbler an occasional rinse in warm soapy water is all that's needed (not dishwater proof!). And if its losing its lustre a wee buff up with a food safe bit of walnut oil should do the trick (but not really needed).
Care for your Whisky Tumbler Stand
All 3 whisky tumbler stand designs i.e; 1, bark on design 2, natural edge design and 3, revealed grain design are sealed with danish oil which brings out the grain of the wood beautifully and leaves a lovely silky lustre finish. And if over time you find its losing its lustre a wee buff up with a bit of danish oil should do the trick (but not really needed). The accompanying tumblers for all display stand sets are treated as detailed above in the 'Whisky Tumblers' information.
Care for your Coasters
Our coasters are sealed with walnut oil which enhances and brings out the grain of the wood beautifully and also helps to stop liquid staining. If you feel sometime in the future they may need a wee buff up or more stain prevention, then they can be can be resealed with walnut or linseed oil to bring up the lustre.
